3rd Annual Egg hunt

Bring donation to Foodbank
and please bring a basket or a bag to collect the eggs.
Volunteers will be hiding eggs with prizes inside.

Also doing races and games for the kids and families after the hunt


Park Clean Up. APR 26. 11am

What you should bring:
1) Donation to the food bank, 2) gloves, 3) a friend!
We'll supply the bags.

Meet at the tennis courts and spend the morning helping make the park even more beautiful.

Spring Party! May 10. 2-4pm

Join your neighbours for our annual "Spring Party" in the large hall at our Rockway Community Centre. We'll have: Face painting, Colouring stations, Bingo scavenger hunt, Kids craft table, Seed/flower planting table, Candy guessing jar, Egg races, musical chairs and more


Cheer on the Kitchener Rangers with your neighbours as they take on the Guelph Storm.

ENAK volunteers pre-purchased 36 tickets (3 rows back-to-back) and have subsidized the price to $10 so all can enjoy. Red - Section #15, rows Q, R & S.
We also reserved the “Viewing Lounge” room from 6-7PM, to hang out and meet neighbours before we take our seats. Game starts at 7pm.

We will have our Eastwood logo with a  message on the big screen!

60+ neighbours had a great time enjoying a free skate at the Kitchener Auditorium’s Kiwanis rink. Feb 19 1-2pm.

Join neighbours to watch a holiday classic (Home Alone). Running time 1 hour & 43 minutes. Free entrance but donations are welcome. Doors open 6:15pm, movie starts 645pm. Drinks and Snacks available at discounted prices. Mats and chairs will be provided but you're welcome to bring your own mats.

Completed. Disc Golf Tournament - Nov 26

The Auditorium and Eastwood Neighbourhood Associations got together to host a disc golf tournament welcoming all skill levels.

Where: Montgomery Park Disc Golf Course on Montgomery Road.

When: Sunday Nov 26. Arrive 945am for a 10am “shotgun” start.

Tournament Format: 9 holes. 18 Teams (each team is 2 people). Total partner score (both partners play complete rounds and total their score). Prizes for top 3 teams.

Requirements: 2 people per team (Teens & older). At least 1 disc per person. The first 18 teams to register.

3rd annual Halloween Decoration contest!
Nominate your home or a neighbours’ by sending the address to hello@enak.ca by 10/30. We’ll all vote on 10/31 and 11/1. Top votes receive prizes from local businesses!


2nd Annual Costume Party. Sunday October 29th 10am to Noon.

Your neighbourhood association has organized a self-defense class for 20.

When: Saturday October 14th
12:30-2pm =
Where: Lower hall in our Rockway Community Centre
1405 king street east, kitchener.

What to expect:
This will be a dynamic workshop where you will learn self defense and personal safety skills and strategies in a safe, fun environment. Topics will include situational awareness, understanding boundaries, and physical self defense techniques to help keep you, your family, and those around you safe. Many thanks to the ENAK Volunteers for organizing. Thank you to the city for the funding to subsidize the fee. Thank you the Krav Maga Waterloo for the class.

Neighbours Day!

Completed. Saturday June 17th 1-5pm was our 2nd annual Neighbours Day Party where we closed down a section of Clive Road and had 3 musical acts.

What to Bring: A chair, some water, your appetite and $’s for the food truck, and yes you can bring a friend from outside the neighbourhood :)
Where? Head to 11 Clive Road, it’ll be closed from Brentwood to Fairmount

Montgomery Park Clean Up.

Thank you to all the neighbors who helped clean up Montgomery Park during our annual Earth Day Park Clean Up today.

Very happy to report that there was very little garbage this year, only 5-6 full bags.

Over 80 egg hunters joined us on April 8th at Montgomery Park.
Eggs were filled with candy, chocolates, stickers and other fun little treats!

After all the goodies were found, parents and kiddos competed in three legged and egg balancing races.

Completed. ENAK hosted an adults only night of painting, for 20 Eastwood neighbours (630-8pm) at Rockway Centre. No painting skills required. This was a fun instructor-led event.

Completed. ENAK hosted 45 neighbours at Chicopee Tubing for our first event of the year! Your volunteer team has not only worked out a group rate, we have also raised funds to subsidize the costs per person! Sunday Feb 19th 10am to Noon on family day weekend.

Note: All tubers must be 4 years of age, 42 inches tall and helmets are required for all participants 12 and younger. We encourage kids to bring their own CSA approved skiing, hockey, or bike helmets. If they do not have their own, we do rent ones out for $12


ENAK partnered with a local baker to put on baking classes for the Eastwood kids aged 8-12. Rockway Centre kitchen. Feb 9th and Feb 13th.

The kids will be learning how to bake chocolate cupcakes with buttercream icing and will be taking home at least 6 cupcakes each. The cost of the program is $5/kid per class.

This was our best year yet with ENAK neighbours lighting up the neighbourhood more than ever.

Dec 3rd Rockway Centre

Similar to the Costume Party, ENAK hosted its first ever “Holiday Party”, Saturday Dec 3rd, 630-830pm at Rockway Centre.

Approximately 60 neighbours enjoyed holiday decorations, fun games, baking, a family photo booth, music and much more.

Although focused on “the kids”, everyone of all ages are welcome. It’s a great time to meet your neighbours.

The theme is “Pajama Party” so feel free to wear your PJ’s to rockway!

The second annual decoration contest was just as scary as the first with the neighbourhood in fine form showing off it’s amazing night time light shows and scary decor.
This year we had 4 winners from both sides of weber street which is great to see the expanded participation.

Completed: Kids Costume Party! Sunday Oct 30th

Eastwood held it’s first ever Kids Costume party, Sunday morning at our Rockway Community Centre. Over 80 people joined us and enjoyed our spooky decorations, fun games, our family photo booth, all the free candy and we got to enjoy their amazing costumes.

Completed: Bike Scavenger Hunt - Oct 23rd

The Auditorium and Eastwood associations joined forces to complete the 3rd annual Bike Scavenger Hunt. This year was our best attended “hunt” ever as over 20 families from both sides of Ottawa street hunted for treasure all over.
This hunt showcased the area of Eastwood as we started on Randerson, threw frisbees in Montgomery and visited Rockway community centre and gardens. Thank you to John and Matt for volunteering their time.



Completed. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Disc Golf course. August 25th.

We “cut the ribbon” on our brand new Disc Golf course by having Grand River Disc Association provide neighbours free lessons on “INTRO TO DISC GOLF”. We were joined by members from Eastwood Collegiate, ENAK, the Love my Hood program, Grand River Disc Association, Councilor Sarah Marsh, Mayor Berry Vrbanovic and Kitchener Centre’s MP Mike Morrice and many neighbours of all ages.

Neighbours Day. (Porch Party)
Saturday June 18. 1-5pm

11 Clive Road

June 18 was Neighbours day in Kitchener and Eastwood hosted its first annual party at 11 Clive Road, with 3 live musicians and activities.

Lisa Reitzel and fam hosted our best event yet with over 70 neighbours enjoying the We can't thank them enough!

4pm finale with Dan Walsh!

Montgomery Park Clean Up

The annual park clean up was another success. 40+ people from all around the neighbourhood worked hard to collect 20+ bags. ENAK provided the coffee and donuts. The city provided the gloves and the bags. Many thanks to the ECI students who volunteered their time as well. There was also great collaboration between ECI, ENAK and the city to prep the park before the event.

Completed: Free Skating Event - Kiwanis Rink @ the Auditorium

ENAK hosted 30+ neighbours at a free 1 hour skate indoors at the Kiwanis rink inside the Auditorium (400 East Ave). March 19th 1130am-1230.

Completed: WINTER FUN EVENT with the ANA:

ENAK partnered with the Auditorium Neighbourhood Association to host a fun outdoor event on Feb 5th at Knollwood park. Delicious goodies, coffee and hot chocolate from local bakeries were served to neighbours from both sides of Ottawa street. Thank you to the volunteers and all the neighbours who attended.
